The Wall Museum Berlin

9th November 1989: The fall of the Berlin Wall. A milestone in German history and one of the most emotional moments in the lives of many residents of the former East and West Germany. 28 years after its erection, the border crossing points along the Berlin Wall were opened, families were reunited and a separated nation rejoined. The Wall Museum provides great insight and background information on the post-war period, the dangers and tragedies involved in crossing the wall and the reunion of East and West.

Located right at the renowned East Side Gallery, The Wall Museum is a great starting point to explore the city and learn interesting facts about Berlin. Immerse yourself in an unforgettable audiovisual experience and continue outdoors taking fabulous snapshots in front of the colorful graffiti that nowadays is exhibited at the East Side Gallery.

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

– Ronald Reagan, American President, Berlin, 12 June 1987.
